Tesla wheels carry unique engineering constraints that didn't exist on internal-combustion vehicles — the cars are heavy (battery pack adds 1,000+ pounds), the torque is instantaneous (every wheel is effectively a drive wheel on AWD models), and the aero matters significantly for range. Tesla wheels are designed against all three. Replicas of Tesla designs (especially the Model 3 19-inch Sport and Model Y Induction) are widespread, but most don't match the load rating or the aero-flap design that contributes 5-10 miles of range on the highway. Substituting a heavier replica wheel measurably reduces range, especially on the Model 3 and Model Y. Every Tesla wheel we sell is a genuine OEM take-off, refinished to factory specification.
The Model S (post-2012) and Model X use 5x120mm bolt pattern in 19 to 22 inch diameters. The Model 3 and Model Y use 5x114.3mm in 18 to 21 inch sizes. The Cybertruck uses 6x139.7mm. Plaid variants of Model S and Model X have unique forged designs — the "Arachnid" pattern in particular is forged for weight reduction matched to the high-power drivetrain. The original Roadster (2008-2012) used 5x114.3mm with its own period-specific designs. Most Tesla wheels carry aero covers or are designed with aero in mind — the Induction wheel on the Model Y, the Aero on the Model 3, the Cyberstream on Model S Plaid all have aero-specific geometry. Common finishes include painted silver, machined-face, gloss black, and the Performance-specific dark satin.
